In a study by the National Small Business Association, 44% of small business owners have been victims of cyber-attacks. Recognized by the Senate, on Sept. 21, the House passed H.R. 5064, the Improving Small Business Cyber Security Act of 2016. This would allow Small Business Development Centers to assist in developing or enhancing cyber-security infrastructure, cyber threat awareness, and cyber training programs for employees. This legislation will provide small business owners with a free resource to beef up their security, increase their reliability and give peace of mind to their customers.
